Woof Tweaks for Linux.

A few steps between you and your next session.

Ready to install Woof Tweaks?

Download the installer, then follow the steps below.

Download Woof Tweaks
  1. Save the official installer

Use the download button above. It opens the official oliveman-au/woof-tweaks release on GitHub. Keep the file in Downloads. The Linux download is an x64 .AppImage; ARM devices are not supported by this build.

  2. Allow the AppImage to run

In your file manager, open the AppImage’s Properties → Permissions and allow executing it as a program. Or open a terminal in the folder containing the file. For the 1.1.0 download:

    chmod +x Woof-Tweaks-1.1.0.AppImage
    ./Woof-Tweaks-1.1.0.AppImage

If a newer release has a different filename, use that filename instead. Do not run the app with sudo.

  3. Start with a backup

Open Woof Tweaks, read what each change does, and use the app’s backup and restore options before applying tweaks. Start with a small set of changes and test your game. Available tweaks and results depend on your operating system and hardware.

Download or installation blocked?

Check that the download came from the official release linked above. A reputation warning and a malware detection are different: if a warning names malware or says the file will damage your device, stop and contact support.

Permission denied, FUSE, or sandbox error

Check the executable permission and that the file is on a drive that allows programs to run. If the error mentions FUSE, follow the official AppImage FUSE guide for your Linux distribution. Do not disable the app sandbox or run as root. Share the exact error with support if it still fails.

The app is incompatible with my device

This Linux release needs an Intel / AMD 64-bit environment. An ARM Chromebook cannot run this build. Read the official AppImage run guide for platform requirements.

The download did not start

Use Download again above and check your browser’s Downloads panel. Make sure you have enough free storage and a working connection. If GitHub is unavailable, try again later. Send support the platform, filename and exact error; do not share passwords, licence keys or bot tokens.
